These capture hoods/exhaust canopies makes use of High intensity UV-C light rays to alter the molecular structures of natural contaminants such as cooking vapors and greases.
Integral to the design is a range of slotted inlets and baffle plates that guide the air up to our unique baffle filters. The configuration of slots, baffle plates and filters ensure a highly effective mechanical means of removing solids from the airstream. The introduction of Ultraviolet (UV-C) behind the filters ensure that up to a 99% rate of effective removal of contaminants can be achieved.
The UV-C lamps also produce ozone, a natural gas that destroys bacteria and removes odours. The hoods are available in various designs and styles for to suite different types of applications/uses/ functions. The advantages of these types of systems is that we can often discharge air at lower levels, ducts are clean and require very little or no mechanical cleaning/maintenance and fire risks are minimized.
Typical uses would be for systems where there is a high density of people such as shopping centres, hotels and airports.
